The topic of April's meeting will be "What you should know before you buy a DNA test," presented by Diane Laferriere of the Massachusetts Society of Genealogists, Inc.

Join us for a round table discussion about DNA testing. Even if you have already tested, you will find something of interest. We will talk about who are the best people to test and why. Diane did her first DNA test in 2017 and has learned a lot since then. She will share with you information about 6 different DNA companies for finding matches and why some are better than others. We will discuss how to get the most for your money when wanting to buy DNA kits. Diane will include a hand-out for your reference which lists additional resources that you can use from home to learn more about the DNA Genealogy Community.

Diane Laferriere belongs to the Massachusetts Society of Genealogists, Inc. as the Society Treasurer and has been researching her family and other people’s families for fun since the 1980s.
