Join us for a meeting of Tyngsborough Public Library's Genealogy Club, where genealogist Tom Toohey will discuss "Irish Genealogy 101."

Irish Genealogy 101 is a presentation for beginning and intermediate Irish genealogy researchers. This program offers a step-by-step method for finding the home places of Irish ancestors. It shows techniques that are quick, cheap and easy -- research that anyone can do in their PJs in their kitchen. This lecture contains music, animation and video and is designed to be entertaining as well as informative.

About Tom:

Tom Toohey is a modern-day Irish storyteller who has traveled to Ireland 20 times and collected hundreds of stories. He comes to this tradition naturally as his parents were great storytellers. In the last 20 years Tom has recorded his family stories in a six-volume book called Images of Other Lives. For 40 years Tom was a teacher. He taught all levels from elementary school through graduate school as a public school teacher, adjunct professor and educational consultant. Tom has a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and a M.M. from the University of Hartford.
